In the Italian landscape of recycling and inert material processing, CAMS now represents a solid, innovative, and forward-looking company. On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the company celebrates a journey marked by technological evolution, steady growth, and a concrete commitment to environmental sustainability.
Origins: Technical Expertise and Industrial Vision
Founded in 2001 by a group of technicians and engineers with over 15 years of industry experience, CAMS was initially established with the goal of providing assistance and maintenance for road machinery.
However, from the very first months, a broader vision emerged: the acquisition of the TEM brand, a historic manufacturer of glass crushing plants active since 1964, marked a strategic turning point. This step enabled CAMS to integrate established expertise and begin developing innovative solutions for inert material recycling.
Growth and Innovation: Key Milestones
Over the years, CAMS has built its success through a continuous drive for technological innovation.
- 2003: Launch of the UTS range, the first transportable, compact, self-loading, and electrically powered plants
- 2005: Introduction of the UTM range, self-propelled shredders on crawler tracks with hybrid power – a true “power revolution” in the sector
- 2008: Development of the revolutionary “Centauro” plant, integrating crushing, screening, and metal separation into a single machine
The Centauro 100.32 model represents a turning point thanks to its high performance, distinctive design, and advanced telemetry systems, in line with Industry 4.0 principles.
CAMS Today: A Benchmark in the Industry
Today, CAMS is among the most established companies in Italy in the field of crushing and sorting materials derived from:
- demolitions
- construction
- asphalt milling
- glass scrap
The numbers reflect tangible growth:
- 7 product lines and 22 available models
- Over 800 plants installed in Italy and worldwide
- 6 registered patents, including innovative solutions for simultaneous machine operation and hydraulic pushers
- Plants powered by hybrid or fully electric systems
- Telemetry systems for remote monitoring via PC and mobile devices
Expansion and New Opportunities
In July 2024, CAMS further strengthened its position with the acquisition of Malavasi G, an Italian company specialized in the design of machinery for the road sector.
This strategic operation expands the group’s technological offering and opens new development opportunities in complementary markets, confirming its commitment to continuous growth and innovation.
An Increasingly Green Vision
CAMS’ commitment to sustainability is one of the pillars of its identity. The company continuously invests in:
- low environmental impact technologies
- electric and hybrid solutions
- energy performance optimization
- development of intelligent systems for plant control and management
The goal is clear: to make recycling increasingly efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly.
Looking Ahead: Innovation and Sustainability
25 years after its foundation, CAMS looks to the future with the same determination that marked its beginnings. Innovation, customization, and sustainability will continue to guide every strategic decision.
Because today more than ever, the message is clear:
Cams “IL FUTURO È VERDE”
