CAMS, specialized in the design and production of crushing, shredding, and screening plants, is participating in Asphaltica with a major announcement and one of its flagship products for the road construction sector. The big news is the acquisition of the historic company Malavasi G., a leader in producing road construction machinery. At the event, CAMS will showcase Malavasi’s Pavijet MG7 Super paver and its own Centauro 100.32 machine.
Additionally, CAMS is unveiling a new visual identity, enhanced by a collaboration with the talented street artist Burla22, who designed the logo for the Centauro series. This synergy of art and sustainability marks a fresh communicative approach for the company.
The acquisition of Malavasi G.: a step towards the future
The acquisition of Malavasi G., a historic company from Modena founded in the 1960s, represents a significant milestone for CAMS in advancing innovation and sustainability. Malavasi G. is renowned for its handcrafted road construction machinery, including the Pavijet mini pavers, recognized as the most compact in the world.
“It is a great achievement for us to acquire a company like Malavasi G.,” says Andrea Trentini, CAMS’ Commercial Director. “We are committed to preserving the artisanal essence of the brand while driving it towards new heights.”
Featured Technologies: Centauro 100.32 and Pavijet MG7 Super
Centauro 100.32: A multifunctional and sustainable plant
The Centauro 100.32, a flagship product of CAMS, is a hybrid (diesel/electric) machine that integrates a shredder, a screen, and a magnetic separator. Its patented technology allows:
- 100% recovery of asphalt, aggregates, and debris.
- Reduction in environmental impact and energy costs.
- Consistent productivity even in challenging conditions, with a maximum capacity of 120 tons per hour.
This innovative technology offers a sustainable alternative for road construction companies, fostering a more responsible use of natural resources.
Pavijet MG7 Super: Compactness and Versatility
Among the new offerings from Malavasi G., the Pavijet MG7 Super stands out for its compact size and advanced hydraulic functionalities. Ideal for small to medium-sized paving projects, it features:
- Adjustable paving width from 30 to 200 cm.
- Ease of transport and operation, thanks to its retractable hydraulic screed.
- Compatibility with any skid loader with at least 20 HP.
These features make the Pavijet MG7 Super an excellent solution for bike paths, sidewalks, and parking lots.
A new logo for the Centauro Series: art and sustainability
At Asphaltica, CAMS went beyond technology, introducing a new identity for its Centauro series. The collaboration with burla22 resulted in an illustration filled with whimsical and positive characters, reflecting the company’s vision: a future where aggregate recycling is the norm, natural resources are preserved, and nature reclaims its space.
CAMS’ booth in Pavilion 19, stand A55, was transformed into an artistic installation that captivated visitors, immersing them in a greener world.
Why Recycle Asphalt Millings? Environmental Benefits
Italy generates approximately 15 million tons of asphalt millings annually, but only 60% is recycled. CAMS aims to increase this percentage with its technologies, reducing landfill waste and promoting a more sustainable road construction industry.
The benefits of reusing millings include:
- Reduced CO2 emissions.
- Less extraction of natural resources like sand and gravel.
- More durable and resilient pavements.
CAMS: Sustainable Technologies for a Better Future
Since 2001, CAMS has been providing cutting-edge solutions in recycling and crushing. At Asphaltica 2024, the company reaffirmed its commitment to a greener future, offering technologies that respect the planet and partnerships that inspire creativity and change.
Thank you to everyone who visited us at Pavilion 19, stand A55. We look forward to continuing this journey towards sustainable innovation together.
